Primula lives in middle earth with a very nice Hobbit family. She is sitting here on her mushroom stool gazing out the window at the enchanted forest which surrounds her house.

Sami is a spectacular siamese cat. He talks very loudly….especially when he wants dinner. His owner rings a little bell to tell Sami when it is time to eat and Sami yells all the way to his dish. Beautiful cat.

The arctic wolf is one of the few species able to survive the very severe arctic cold. I have the pleasure of knowing an arctic wolf by the name of ‘Bear.’ His fur is so very thick. I don’t think you could reach the skin. After he swims in the lake he looks a bit thinner, but his fur layer is still massive. Very sweet boy.

Sachi is a very special boxer. Very beautiful with reeeally long legs. She actually belongs to my son and his family, but I helped to raise her for her first three years. Grama/nanny. She and I spent many days relaxing and walking on ‘Dog Beach’ in Huntington Beach, California. Wonderful dog. This photo was taken when she was a youth. Now she has become the Grande Old Dame. Very sweet. She was also named for Indra’s wife.

In Vedic times ‘Sachi’ was the wife of Indra….. Lord of Heaven. She is said to have been very beautiful with 1000 eyes. Here she has taken a feline form and is surrounded by swirling heavenly planets. Sachi is marked with a bindi on her forehead at the site of the third eye…… one of the seven sacred chakras.

Who is the Raven King?
“Their bellies taut with hunger,
The ravens called upon their King.
A King must do what he must do
To keep his people fed.
And so, he took the form of man……..All dressed in black, his nose a noble beak”.
And he saved his people through his cunning ways.

In Greek mythology Podagros is one of the four mares of King Diomedes. The name means ‘the fast.’ It is said that the horse of Alexander the Great was a descendant of the mares.

‘Cikug’ is the Inuit name meaning ice. An appropriate name for our hero….a highly decorated soldier in the polar army.

‘Jal’ is a gypsy name meaning wanderer. This is befitting both cats and gypsies. Jal’s eye’s look as though he could be a cat belonging to a gypsy teller of fortunes. Each eye in different worlds.
