tokala
In Art Watercolor Gallery, Fox, Wild Things on October 30, 2014 at 8:09 pmWhat is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.

dog
In Art Watercolor Gallery, Dharma Dogs on October 9, 2014 at 1:35 pmThis commissioned painting illustrates a Lakota creation story about Dog. I hand printed the story around the edge of 15″ x 12″ piece of 300lb watercolor paper.
‘So angry was the Creator over man’s mistreatment of animals that he drew a line wit his finger upon the ground. On one side were the beasts and on the other were the people. The line grew so deep and so wide that neither side could be near the other ever again. But at the last moment, Dog jumped over, to remain forever at man’s side.’
Wonderful story isn’t it?

In Art Watercolor Gallery, Zenkats on October 9, 2014 at 12:23 pm‘When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name.’
