A particularly bedazzled dragon adorned with precious jewels. She is fond of mesmerizing all who come before her and quite adept at doing so. It is so easy to doodle a dragon because everything added enhances the dragon body. One just must stop at some point and publish. I think it must be the effect of hot dragon breath fumes that invites more and more painting.

Last weekend I was sitting on a rock in the middle of Seely Creek and dragonflies were gliding close to the water coursing past me on their way upstream. I think they are so magical with their iridescent wings glinting in the sun.

Nrisingha is a man-lion avatar. It is told that Vishnu, the supreme lord, descended to earth as a creature half man and half lion. On earth he slew the demon Hiranyakasipu because this demon’s great pride had angered the gods as well as man. This is a very involved story which I will not attempt to tell here. Hindu mythology is always very involved and usually bloody. I find it interesting.

It was believed that a Cat Sìth….a faerie creature from Celtic mythology….. would on Samhain bless any house that left a saucer of milk out for it to drink. Ghrian is the Irish word meaning sun.

The white lion is a sacred symbol of a higher promise just like the white buffalo and yet they are facing extinction. I included the totem of the dragonfly which symbolizes the opening of one’s eyes and the ability to see beyond the limitations of the human. So Wake Up!
