in your dreams

Dream your dream of paradise and seek your beloved.

This pony is part Appaloosa and part imaginary pony. It was accidentally cross bred when I flipped a paint brush fully loaded with black. I looked at it…quickly… because you do not have much time to decide what to do. It was too far gone to try to remove the splatters so I worked with it. This happens all too frequently and, depending upon where and the amount of the spill, I decide whether to go with it or tidy up. Usually going with the accident is my choice because it is the folly part of the controlled folly and also the surprise package which I love to open.

We are One.

One of my customers is collecting a series of different totem animals for her sisters. Since she has some Native American background, I started to wonder if these were her blood sisters or the sisterhood. With that though I settled down to paint. My sketch began with the symbol for the path of life and turned into two doves. I was so surprised and pleased. So this is all about sisters. And we are all connected.
