Raven shows us how to go into the dark of our inner self and bring out the light of our true self.

Each morning when I walk with my dogs ravens call and swoop above us. The dogs never bother with them unless they happen to see one of the large birds on the ground. Then there ensues a wild chase that the dogs will never win because they cannot fly. Ravens have that very loud Kaaaaa which always gets your attention. They also have a variety of other less invasive noises and I wonder just what they are saying. Anyway….I feel protected by them as I walk.

Crows and ravens are very smart and have the ability to solve complex problems. There is one of Aesop’s fables about a raven or a crow. In the story a raven wished to drink from a pitcher of water but the level of the water was too low for him to get a drink. So he commenced dropping pebbles into the pitcher until the water level had risen enough for him to drink.
If raven visits you in dream time, he may be telling you to find light in the darkness.

Magical Raven will never tell what he wished. Raven makes a huge sound unlike any other feathered creature. His call grabs your attention and he may be telling you that change is coming. Depending on how you hold this change, it will be welcome or you will suffer. Remember suffering is always optional. Have no fear.

High orator of the raven clan. It sounds like a lot of squawking to us but ravens are very smart and who knows what instruction could be voiced.

This morning on highway 15 in the Inland Empire, Southern California a baby crow on the road caused a traffic jam. The baby was eventually brought to safety. This gladdened my heart and gave me hope for the future of mankind.

Ravens are tricksters and very smart. I love to wake up in the morning to their shouting voices. Is there a story behind this prince holding an eagle feather? I watched the resident lake eagle sitting  on a high branch shredding his fresh fish while ravens sat in the surrounding branches broadcasting their raucous voices. He totally tolerated them. It would seem that they probably finished whatever was left of his meal.  Nature’s balance.
