In Welsh folklore, ‘Bran the Blessed’ is a primordial raven deity and guardian of Britain whose totem is a raven.

  3. As soon as I saw the title in my inbox, I just knew there would be a raven involved. Gorgeous!

  4. Love this painting of the Raven. They are majestic birds in nature and friends to my spirit animal, the wolf. When I look at the image from some distance the Raven looks real, frozen in a photograph in that moment of careful regard for the viewer.

    • Interesting perspective. You must know about the wolf and raven hunting in tandem. Nature is grand and everything fits together perfectly. Thank you for your interest 🐾

      • Yes indeed, Gretchen, we could learn much if we regained our ability to commune with nature. I think you have already made the connection. 😊

      • The mind of the beast and the bird is not troubled with excessive thinking as the mind of the human. Slow thinking and then it is possible to connect.

  5. Gorgeous! I love this so much Gretchen, it’s awesome!
