‘Teach me how to trust my heart, my mind, my intuition, my inner knowing, the senses of my body, the blessings of my spirit. Teach me to trust these things so that I may enter my sacred space and love beyond my fear and thus walk in balance with the passing of each glorious sun.’ ……lakota prayer
So very, very, beautiful. The Lakota words are just wonderful and the raccoon has such emotion. You are, as always, amazing.
Thanks Gigi. I love the prayer also.
You ever hear anybody call them “Trash Pandas?
Never heard that but it’s true. Do lock your trash cans unless you want to clean up the scattered garbage.
Beautifully painted, and so adorable. The pairing of image with verse is perfect. Thank you for sharing.
So glad you like this wee raccoon. They are so inquisitive and rascally.
I so enjoy watching raccoons … and what a wonderful thought included here. Thank you! Always an inspiration to visit you.
Reblogged this on THE BeZine and commented:
Another lovely spirit animal from our dear artist, Gretchen Del Rio.
Thanks so much Jamie.
The fold in the fabric is to have faith in what you believe to be the truth and the strength to realize you may be wrong, either in part or whole and be willing to question why and earnestly want to know the answers. Smiles…>KB
That is usually how we become seekers because we want answers and we come to know that those answers cannot be found from our limited egos but rather from higher power. Thank you for reaching out with your words. Many blessings.
You’re welcome. >KB
What a stunningly beautiful prayer… I am now weeping but probably need to go to sleep. As always, I adore your work. He’s really cute tho I know them personally and don’t like how angry they get if they don’t get what they want…. scary little devils! 😉
Definitely give them what they want and keep a lock on your trash can.
