Earth teach me quiet…as the grasses are still with new light.
……….  excerpt from a Ute prayer
  1. This rascal looks like he’s contemplating the results of his last move. Lots of personality!

  2. Oh, what expression, what a beautiful face. Wonderful painting. Just wonderful.

  3. So handsomely painted dear Gretchen ! The beautiful darkish colouration of its fur is perfectly emphasised by the white backdrop !
PS: Its scientific name is Procyon, which is a Greek word meaning ” before-dog “, I suppose there is some sort of similarity … Nothing escapes evolution ..
Love to you, Doda 🙂 ❤

    • Thank you Doda. That’s very interesting…….before dog? I thought that dogs have been around forever either as wolves or descendants. I once new a man who kept a raccoon as a pet. She was not caged but had full reign of the house. As a baby she tended to tear up his home.

  4. Great eyes and a great hint of fur.. I really have trouble doing fur, but this might be a really good solution!

    • Thank you for your comment. I think that painting fur can be challenging. I would suggest looking at the whole rather tan bogging down in the details. That might help.

  5. Oh… This guy looks so wise! When I get a chance, I like to watch raccoons. They are entertaining.
