  1. Beautiful Raccoon and your dogs are so special!.

  2. Just watched a PBS documentary on these little guy the other night!

  3. I just came across these wonderful photographs of your dogs. They are wonderful. And they do look all racoonie 🙂 Sweet. ❤

    • They both look a bit feral. They are seldom leashed and when people see him trotting out of the woods they are frightened that he is a wolf or a coyote. He is super friendly……but folks who don’t live here aren’t used to seeing dogs running free. I think it is the mark of the wild that they both carry.

  4. Beautiful painting!! Love the eyes 🙂 ~Sophia

  5. Your dogs are gorgeous, Gretchen!
The touches of blue in your raccoon painting pull me in. Such a sweet face. When I was young, my Father had an ongoing battle with two raccoon who enjoyed getting in our garbage cans. As soon as he took my Grandmother’s advice and set a couple pieces of bread out for them, nightly with a tin of milk, the raccoon won. I liked peering out our kitchen window and watching them wash the bread in the milk and devouring it before waddling off and leaving the garbage cans intact. This went on for a couple of weeks and then they never returned. Thank you for bringing back that memory with your painting.

    • Yes. The dogs are beautiful. I can say that because I had no part in it. And they are just as friendly and endearing. Your story about the raccoons is so sweet. Just what I like to hear being an incurable animal lover.

  6. What a gorgeous painting (and gorgeous dogs too!)

  7. Awwwww, adorable…all of them.

    • Thank you. Raccoons are the cutest and they are formidable fighters.
