Samson is looking side ways at his catch of the day. It’s part of the torture routine. I have seen the mouse get away…yey for the underdog…because I have always charged the Marquis de Sade if it appeared that the victim was still able to be saved. This is just a cat’s nature. Who knows why. My cat Ted Bundy did not often bring home his prey until there was no life left. A dog will not torture his kill. He just dispatches it quickly.

  1. The expression is priceless as is your sense of humor. Ted Bundy…oh my! My dog Baxter has been confused by the dying cicadas we find in the street. They buzz at him and he gives them a poke…totally nonplussed.

  2. The look on his face is great. Yes; it’s what cats do. My parents used to have cats in their barn because of the mice. They were sweet to us, but great mice hunters. (Basil and Manuel were two of their kittens).

  3. Thanks. Love your cat names.
