A few days ago on the mountain a bobcat like this one was treed by a wolf hybrid belonging to a fellow dog walker. Apparently the bobcat had in its sights 2 little lap dogs being walked on the trail by their owner. He was foiled. Bobcats are not terribly big, but they are very ferocious. The coyotes here will be so bold as to snatch a small dog on leash right out of the owner’s hands. The little dogs got lucky.”A few days ago on the mountain a bobcat like this one was treed by a wolf hybrid belonging to a fellow dog walker. 1. I’m glad for the little dogs. Do bobcats come close to houses as well? The painting looks beautiful.

    • Everything comes close to the houses on this mountain. Our homes are kinda splattered amongst the wild things. Bobcats are rather small and travel alone. So you don’t see them as readily. Stealthy things.

  2. Wild beauty in your “bobcat” painting Gretchen and a fabulous stream of colours !!!
I am so glad it is safe and relaxing in your creation !

    • Thanks, Doda. Bobcats are amazing creatures. A number of years ago it was my treat to know a young rescued bobcat, Lexi. Only her keeper could touch her because, even though she had been in captivity since a baby, she was that wild……unpredictable. I would have loved to touch her fur.

  3. Absolutely adore your bobcat painting. It really captures you! Wow!
