Ever wish that you could touch a wild animal. I don’t mean one in captivity, but a really wild one. It’s next to impossible because you need the consent of the wild thing. They have fear just like we do. I was visiting Fire Island off Long Island and I touched a wild deer that walked up to me. Now I don’t know if this really counts because those deer are protected on the island and have learned not to fear humans. It was still a rush for me.
I love this painting and this thought. I hope you’ll come across an animal that isn’t afraid or curious enough to come so close with the same intention as yours.
