A few days ago we experienced a very fierce rain that lasted for a day. On the day before the storm I was walking with my dogs at the lake. Foggy mists were floating and moving over the lake and the surrounding mountains. Very beautiful. Very still. So quiet. As I stood on a hill by the water, breathing in the lake four great blue herons flew out of the mists. They circled and swooped for quite a long time…… never touching down. They looked like prehistoric birds in their flight. It was very mystical.

Lovely powder down of bluish-gray nuances and rich depiction of the fully retracted neck.
Love your heron’s gentle thoughts,silently flying like golden bubbles,like illuminated disks.
Presumably, thinking of the four herons it met in the mystic atmosphere of the lake …

When I watch a heron fly over it seems mystical. Silent and full of grace. Nicely done.
